REAL PROJECT 2025: CITY DESIGN ON MARS
NASA has made a collaboration with KMD faculty to challenge the public to design part of region AF#0174 on Mars that could land future spaceflyers on the surface of Mars.
The so-called NASA Mars Balance Mass Challenge officially opened last year, and will draw to a close on 2026. The agency will announce the winning design in January 2026, and the winner will receive a grand prize of $2,000,000. Humanity has had its eyes set on Mars since the 1960s. In the 1970s, NASA began landing spacecraft on Mars, and in the 1990s, wheeled robots started exploring the surface. In 2020, NASA's Curiosity rover touched down on the Red Planet in spectacular fashion. We need your participation in this great moment.
